Love is...

Love is, under all circumstances, first and foremost unconditionally accepting. Love comes in all kinds, sizes, shapes and forms. Love is the most beautiful emotion one can experience.

Love shouldn’t blind people, it isn’t about ignoring flaws and imperfections, marks and scars, it’s about accepting them despite being fully aware of their existence. True love knows no boundaries; no mountain is high enough or ocean too deep. There is no limit when it comes to saving your loved one. Fear is replaced with courage and hesitation with bravery.

Love is so passionate it can end up being deadly, but it’s the sweetest kind of death the one that leads to eternity. Love makes you feel like the most powerful human being on earth.

Love is forgiving, it understands remorse and lets go of the past. It might not be perfect but it has to be feisty, ready to deal with all the obstacles and the demons that will appear along the way. It is often tested, it’s only normal, it can be painful; this only shows it is real.

Love is cursed by not always being mutual. Unrequited love has inspired some of the greatest works of art known to the human kind.

Love is giving, giving without expecting anything in return. Love has no expiration date, it is and should always be eternal. To be loved is to thrive in life.

But most importantly love is real. True to itself and everyone involved.

I don't know if anyone has or ever will love me truly but I can proudly say I have loved.
